The reefer shipping container is a type of intermodal container with thermal insulation, equipped with a refrigeration motor that enables the transport of perishable goods that need to remain refrigerated, such as fruits, vegetables, dairy produce, meat, chocolate, wine, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and the like.
They always require an external power source, which may be the power outlets installed on ships or in terminals or, in the case of container haulage platforms, their onboard generators are commonly called “gen sets” or “clip ons”.
Available in sizes 20′, 20’H, 40′ and 40HC.
